My goal is to support you to live in alignment with your preferred way of being in the world. With experience in applying the narrative worldview to coaching, my individualized approach will provide support to connect you to what has the most meaning in your life. This might involve re-imagining what is possible in your life, and it often involves recognizing the effects of dominant stories that sometimes interfere with and limit our ability to move into living into our preferred identities. If this makes you curious, that is exciting to me! The narrative coaching approach values curiosity and inquiry.
As an experienced narrative coach, I use practices which offer the kinds of questions that will support you to identify what you value and to create the life that you imagine. Much of my learning has come from conversations with people who have consulted with me. My offering is to provide support for you to define more intentionally a renewed sense of living in a way that honors your values, your knowledge, and your wisdom.
If you choose to, we can explore and name together the meaningful traditions and values that you hold and cherish, some of which are derived from your family or
from other important people or contexts
in which you have been embedded.
My commitment is to offer inquiry that respects and honors a narrative worldview, which includes holding awareness of the context of cultural discourses that often influence whose stories get told. What has meaning for me is to empower the telling of YOUR preferred story, while honoring the contexts in which you live, and by holding a recognition of the effects that those contexts have on the storylines that you may have previously had access to. Sometimes these conversations provide access to different ways of viewing ourselves that expand upon those that have been powerfully influenced by our roles in our families of origin and other cultural contexts.

Narrative Coaching is an interactive experience in which we tap into and more clearly articulate what you value in life and identify your preferred ways of living. We focus on concretely identifying what practices you want to adopt that are in alignment with what you stand for and that honor what has the most meaning for you in your life. This process sometimes involves identifying your passions and using them to guide you as you travel down a path to the life you want. But the process is unique for each person, because your particular values are unique to you, and can only uniquely be expressed through you.
Narrative Inquiry includes attention to how messages from dominant cultural discourses can become internalized and can have powerful influences on how we see ourselves. A Narrative Coaching approach supports you to identify what has value and meaning for you in your life, and to take steps toward living in alignment with what is important to YOU. This approach does not make assumptions about where you want to go - it is based on inquiry, while holding an appreciation of the powerful effects of the contexts in which we live on how we see ourselves and on our sense of what is possible. It has been my experience that when we explore and name these contexts and their effects, and when we inquire into what your preferences are, it often allows for a more expansive sense of possibility of moving into preferred identities and ways of being in the world.
