I offer individual coaching from a narrative perspective. An important underlying tenet of a narrative worldview is that it maintains awareness of the influence of the cultural contexts in which our sense of our identity develops.
I also offer small group intensives for people who would like to learn more about narrative ideas and practices in community. Please contact me if you are interested!
Words have connotations, and in our culture some words tend to get connected to a whole discourse of "success and failure" that can sometimes interfere with our movement in a preferred direction. Coming to a stance of self and body acceptance can be challenging given the many very narrow cultural messages in our world that attempt to define what is "acceptable" in these domains. As we inquire into the effects of these cultural discourses, we can begin to see how they powerfully affect how we see ourselves. The Embodying Compassion approach is a process of coming to define our preferred relationship with our bodies and ourselves that is rooted in what we value and find meaningful.

Most of my experience comes in the form of being touched by and learning from conversations with those who have consulted with me.
I am in the process of learning through a yearlong narrative practice training through the
Narrative Therapy Initiative.
The narrative worldview is closely aligned with my own values and hopes and dreams for the way that we can collaborate with one another respectfully in the world.
